The graduate has achieved the learning outcomes defined for the programme of study, including the learning outcomes defined for the compulsory specialisation. The graduate:
knows and thoroughly understands of the characteristics of ontogenetic human development;
knows and thoroughly understands of the functioning of various educational institutions, their mission, objectives, functions and principles of organization;
knows and thoroughly understands the processes of education, theories of education, upbringing and developmental support;
knows and understands the contemporary directions of the development of pedagogy, its historical and cultural contexts and determinants, as well as types of social relations and their importance in the context of broadly understood education;
knows and understands the diversity of educational environments which include their respective phenomena and processes;
is able to observe various social phenomena, search, collect, process relevant information referring to various sources and apply various criteria for their interpretation;
is able to integrate theoretical knowledge of pedagogy and related disciplines; analyse, diagnose and design practical solutions;
knows and thoroughly understands the principles, concepts and functions of arts and media education;
knows and understands the methods of art education, museum education, as well as the methods used in teaching art at school;
is able to design and carry out educational activities in art-related, museum, school and social spaces taking into account relevant methodology and the needs of different age and social groups;
is able to critically evaluate educational activities in museum spaces and other spheres of contemporary culture.
Students shape their competences during the internships by learning the specifics of work in various artistic and media institutions (museums, theaters, media, radio, television, community centers), with particular emphasis on working with an audience.
They gain knowledge about the work of education and information departments of various artistic and media institutions:
1. They get to know the forms of work of institutions, programmes carried out by them, the legitimacy and efficiency of their actions.
2. Taking part in the preparation of programmes targeted at children, youth and adults, they acquire methodological and teaching skills specific to the work of these institutions.
3. They learn cooperation within a team on programming and implementation of specific educational and artistic tasks.
4. They get to know the specificity of preparing educational and artistic programmes for adults.
They conduct self-evaluation, analysis of their own achievements, identify their strengths and weaknesses.
