Learning outcomes
Prepared on the basis of The Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 02 November 2011, on Qualifications Framework for Polish Higher Education Qualifications (Dz.U. no 253, item 1520)
Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Petrology:
1. Selected learning outcomes
- has basic and advanced knowledge on instrumental analytical methods used in studies of rocks, minerals and organic substances
- demonstrates knowledge on the principles and analytical methods of specific research equipment and principles of research planning
- has comprehensive knowledge on the detailed issues referring to processes of rock formation and diversification in particular environments
- knows the conditions and processes leading to the formation of usable ore resources
- demonstrates knowledge on the applicable balance criteria for particular deposits, has knowledge on the reserves of mineral resources
- manifests knowledge on the principles of predicting and determining areas for perspective deposits of usable ores, methods of resource exposure and exploitation
- knows the possibilities of applying isotope data in resolving geological problems and analytical methods used in isotope geochemistry
- can autonomously analyse acquainted geological data, interpret the results and make adequate conclusions.
