Economics, full-time, second cycyle programme (NW2-PRK-EK)

The graduate of this specialization:
- knows in-depth scientific theories in the areas of social and exact sciences, with elements of the humanities, especially in microeconomics, macroeconomics as well as advanced econometric methods, especially in their international perspective;
- knows in depth the dilemmas of international exchange and international relations;
- knows the position of economics in social sciences, especially in its international perspective;
- understands the principles of intellectual property protection and legal matters, especially in their international perspective;
- can analyse international economy phenomena with the use of statistical and econometric tools;
- can analyse international economy phenomena with the use of the knowledge of decision-making principles in trade, marketing, negotiations, and international finance;
- can identify, interpret and explain complex phenomena using the knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics theories, especially in their international perspective.
- can identify, interpret and explain complex phenomena using the knowledge of international finance, the market of production factors, and foreign trade;
- can prepare reports and present effectively the results of independent analyses and teamwork, including the English language at the B2 + level;
- is prepared to critically evaluate the achievements, theories, and thoughts of microeconomics, macroeconomics, the history of economics, finance;
- is prepared to think and act in an entrepreneurial, social, and ethical manner; and
- complies with professional ethical standards.

The graduate of this specialization:
- knows in-depth theories of microeconomics and macroeconomics, theories of enterprises, as well as advanced econometric methods concerning enterprises;
- knows in depth the principles of enterprise finance, management accounting, and controlling, supported by the knowledge of Polish and international accounting standards concerning enterprises;
- knows the position of economics in social sciences, especially in its international perspective;
- knows the rules of intellectual property protection and legal matters, especially in their international perspective;
- understands the principles, methods, and marketing tools supporting the analysis of business processes, as well as planning, implementation monitoring, and project management in enterprises;
- can use analytical and IT tools (e.g. R, STATA, Excel, Maxima) to carry out an advanced quantitative analysis of economic, financial, and management issues occurring in the enterprise;
- can prepare economic and financial analyses, implement consulting projects and comprehensively develop financial documentation, budgets, and business plans, as well as long-term financial forecasts;
- can identify, interpret and explain complex phenomena using the knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and firm theory;
- can identify business needs, create strategies and carry out tasks aimed at achieving the set operational and strategic goals of the company by building long-term relationships and translating them into specific business activities, and preparing forecasts and sales statistics;
- can create reports and present effectively the results of independent analyses and teamwork, including the English language at the minimum B2 + level;
- can plan, organize their own and teamwork effectively;
- demonstrates the ability to self-study quickly and improve acquired qualifications in relation to problems identified in enterprises;
- is prepared to critically evaluate the achievements, theories, and thoughts of microeconomics, macroeconomics, the history of economics, finance, in particular in relation to enterprises;
- is prepared to think and act in an entrepreneurial, social, and ethical manner for the benefit of enterprises and their environment; and
- knows and understands the legitimacy of professional ethical standards in enterprises and their environment.
