Learning outcomes

KNOWLEDGE
He/she has deepened knowledge of the essence, place and importance of internal security as sub-area of the social sciences and its relations (thematic and methodological ) with other sub-areas of the social sciences. He/she has well-established knowledge of the nature of the social sciences, their place in the system of sciences and relations to other sciences.
He/she has deepened knowledge of creative human activity regarding establishing social, political and economic order.
He/she has deepened knowledge of the norms and rules prevailing in the structures and institutions to maintain social and political order and security.
He/she has comprehensive and deepened knowledge of the various types of institutions and mechanisms (eg. psychological, legal) aimed at preventing and resolving conflicts and crises occurring in the modern state of different political regimes, with particular emphasis on the democratic state, and of the processes of changes in those mechanisms and institutions.
He/she has comprehensive and deepened knowledge of the creation and use of institutions and mechanisms to face threats to the functioning of the modern state and society, and about the processes of changes.
He/she has deepened knowledge of the institutional arrangements in the system of international security and international cooperation serving regional and global threats (such as terrorist threats).

SKILLS
He/she is able to understand and analyze (using an in-depth assessment) various social phenomena, in particular related to safety, with a particular attention to crises and threats to individuals, society and the state.
He/she is able to formulate independent opinions, predictions and suggestions about solutions (and their implementation) in the range of phenomena, mechanisms and security institutions.

SOCIAL COMPETENCES
He/she is able to work in specialized teams set up to counteract various threats and carry out responsible and independent tasks inside them.
He/she is aware of the importance of maintaining a professional and ethical manner and is able to promote these values.
