At the first degree programme a student is obliged to obtain 180 ECTS credits during 6 semesters of studies (i.e. 3 year programme).

Selected learning outcomes:

A graduate:
· has basic knowledge about cultural and Latin American studies and their importance and position in the science system as well as their methodological and subject character;
· knows basic terminology of Latin American and cultural studies;
· knows different kinds of Latin American social institutions (political, legal, economic) as well as their character;
· has basic, structured knowledge in the field of terminology, theory and methodology of history, literary studies, film studies, media studies, history of philosophy, political studies, economy and geography in the scope obligatory for American Studies;
· can distinguish the relations of cultural/Latin American studies with anthropology of culture, social science, regional studies, history and history of literature;
· can search, analyse, estimate, select and use information based on various sources in order to make generalisation about Latin American social (cultural, political and economic) phenomena;
· can explain particular cases of processes and phenomena undergoing in the Latin American development;
· makes research questions, detects and recognises connections between subjects included into Latin American studies and mainly history and literary studies, history of thought, audiovisual culture, political culture and economic studies, as well as social science.

4. Specialisation module 52 ECTS
5. Internship module 3 ECTS
6. Research module 16 ECTS
7. Current affairs module 7 ECTS
8. Sum up/promoting module 8 ECTS

Number of ECTS credits in basic courses: 34.
Optional module courses amount to 54 ECTS.

Internship hour framework amounts to 90 hours. A student obtains 3 ECTS for the realisation of the internship programme including awarded 1 ECTS for the selected cultural project realised under the supervision of CESLA tutor.
