Learning outcomes
The gratuate achieved the learning outcomes definied for the study programme:
KNOWLEDGE: A GRADUATE KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS:
- the problems of popular culture, phenomena and issues of mass culture, the role of mass media in shaping contemporary culture;
- the main trends, ideas and contexts of 20th century Polish and European literature;
- the fundamentals of history and culture of language and the specificity of the language of new media;
- the conventions, style and organizational features of literary genres, including literary fiction and non-fiction, journalism, functional texts and advertising;
- the major authors and evolution of the literary genres.
SKILLS: A GRADUATES IS ABLE TO:
- use dedicated DTP software for printed publications and various forms of Internet content, including: page layouts and other graphic design elements;
- correctly use literary terms and identify the most important methods of literary research;
- proofread, copy edit and prepare for publication literary, journalistic and functional texts;
- use typical conventions, styles and organizational features in creating genre fiction, journalistic and functional texts.
SOCIAL COMPETENCE: A GRADUATE IS READY TO:
- recognise the importance of Polish and European literary and cultural heritage for understanding current social and cultural developments.
