Knowledge:
He/she has well-established knowledge of:
- the norms and rules prevailing in the structures and social and political institutions with particular emphasis on those which are to maintain social and political order and security;
- the conflicts and crises occurring in societies and countries (as well as mechanisms to solve them) in terms of historical and contemporary;
- the attributes and mechanisms of the modern state (especially a democratic state): the law, the system of state institutions (with particular emphasis on institutions responsible for creating security policy), central and local government (particularly those responsible for the implementation of security policy), as well as of the institutions specialized in safety state, non-governmental organizations, the economic system;
- the functioning of the state in emergencies;
the threats to the functioning of modern state and society and their transformations (eg. organized crime, terrorism, the threat of ecological nature), and the ways and mechanisms to counter threats.
Skills
He/she is able to:
- understand the causes and course and forecasting and predicting phenomena safety (including various types of crises);
- use of theoretical knowledge to describe the security issues for a variety of capacities;
- collection, structure, process and present of information in the field of safety;
use the acquired knowledge in practical and professional operation, troubleshooting and implementing specific tasks.
Social competences:
He/she is able to:
- identificate and definite of core priorities to address threats to the functioning of social structures, state and reigning in the legal and political governance;
- work in teams (operating in all kinds of social and political institutions, including eg. organs of central and local government, non-governmental organizations) established in order to counter threats to individuals and social structures and state;
- manage of small teams;
- communicate with the environment and the transmission in a competent manner of information about threats and ways of protection against threats.
