Teaching standards

Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 17 January 2012 on the standards of education in preparation for the teaching profession.

Learning outcomes

1. Learning outcomes for the full-time first cycle programme.
The graduate:
a) effectively uses a foreign language for academic purposes, applies the language in didactics and translation;
b) is able to use a wide range of grammatical and lexical structures, including their stylistic constraints;
c) has basic research skills in the field of translation studies;
d) has basic knowledge of the relationships of translation studies with other disciplines;
e) knows the basic terminology in the field of teaching foreign languages;
f) has basic knowledge of the methods and techniques of teaching a foreign language in kindergarten and primary school;
g) can use the Polish and the foreign language within the field of studies. Has reached level C1 (CEFR) in speaking the two foreign languages, for which he/she is getting qualifications to teach;
h) is able to prepare written work and oral presentations in the two studied foreign languages.

2. No. of ECTS credits required to graduate from full-time first cycle studies and obtain a degree of licencjat - 180. No. of semesters - 6.

3. The programme of studies is compliant with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 17 January 2012 on the standards of education in preparation for the teaching profession.

4. No. of ECTS credits for the learning outcomes achieved in courses fundamental for the area of study, which the programme of study, its level and profile are referred to: 166. No. of ECTS credits for the learning outcomes achieved in practical courses: 102. No. of ECTS credits for the learning outcomes achieved in elective courses: 57.

5. Internship (teaching practice) in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 17 January 2012 on the standards of education in preparation for the teaching profession: 4 weeks (5th semester) - 3 ECTS credits; 2 weeks (6th semester) - 2 ECTS credits.
