Perfection of basketball techniques and tactics.
Development of offensive skills:
– moving without the ball (stance, starting, running, stopping, change of pace, change of direction);
– catches and passes (catching low, medium and high balls and balls rolling on the ground, one-handed and situational catches; two-handed, one-handed and situational passes).

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
Play, analytic, synthetic and comprehensive approach as the basic set of activities and means leading to performance of specific motor tasks. Credit is earned for active participation in training sessions and university competitions.
