Philosophy of Mind II 3800-KOG-MS1-FU2

The aim of the course is to present advanced issues of the contemporary philosophy of mind, with the particular emphasis on debates over mental representation, including (1) the theory of morphism-based representations or structural similarity, as well as teleosemantics, as defended by F. Dretske and R. G. Millikan; (2) problems and theories of consciousness, including the reliability of introspection; (3) issues related to the architecture of mind architecture, as modularity or extended mind (not only semantic externalism but also in the active externalism); (4) embodied cognition and enactivism; (5) information and computation in the philosophy of mind.
