Introduction to the Ancient Near East1 3600-7-WS1-WBWS
First part of the course introducing the cultures of the Ancient Near East. It presents the history of the decipherment of cuneiform script and offers a survey of the most important peoples, languages, and writing systems of the region. It introduces the political and social history of the region.
