Grammar of african language 3600-7-AF3-GJA(L)
The course consists of exercises which are based on the contextual analysis of Hausa vocabulary and phrasal units with respect to their stylistic features and cultural values. This includes interpretation of the meaning and use of the selected items and phraseologisms in the Hausa texts. Exercises lead to creating texts on selected topics and translations from Hausa to Polish, with reference to structural distinctness and cultural context.

- has extensive knowledge of the Hausa language, its structural abilities to express meanings (K_W12)
- knows the meaning of the basic notions relevant for the Hausa culture and rules of the contextual use of their lexical equivalents (K_W13)
- is aware of the cultural specificity of text in the Hausa language (K_W14)
- has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Hausa into Polish (K_W15),
- can analyze and interpret literary texts in the Hausa language (K_U13)
- can translate literary texts from Hausa into Polish (K_U14)
- can interpret key terms from the Hausa culture through linguistic analysis (K_U15)
- can fluently use the script of the Hausa language and the necessary tools to learn and analyze it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.) (K_U16)
- can properly function in the linguistic and cultural environment of Nigeria (K_U17)
- can set appropriate goals and ways to achieve them in terms of interpretation of the text in the Hausa language with regard to their cultural content (K_K04)
- acts in aid of sharing and promoting a literary tradition of West Africa in the Hausa language (K_K08)
