Anthropology of culture 3005-KL2AK
This is an introduction course to anthropology. Anthropology is the broad study of humankind around the world and throughout time. This course is focused on theoretical aspects of a discipline, for example: theories of culture, myth and mythology, concepts of the time, family, theory of communities and so on. These key issues are useful for understanding diverse ways of life. The problems of anthropological research will be discussed also. The classes will be focused on main texts and currents in anthropology as an example to the anthropological approach in social sciences. Elements of Slavic traditions and customs will be emphasized in order to illustrate theoretic background.
