Epigraphy and papirology 2800-DS024
During the seminar, various aspects of the civilization of the Eastern part of the Mediterranean in Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine times will be discussed. The basis for the discussion will be Greek written sources (inscriptions and papyri) supplemented by archaeological evidence. The seminar will start with a commented reading of Greek papyri and inscriptions. Knowledge of Greek is welcome though not necessary.
