The course realised in two waves.
Theoretical aspects of reading patterns and practices: complexity of interpreations of reading as an interdisciplinary research area. Methods and tools in reading studies. Brief history and current trends in reading research.
Project task:
Team work focused on development and realisation of a short reading survey for selected social groups, with different research tools.

A student:
- understands specifics, theory, and methods of reading studies (K_W01, K_W04),
- understands the work and rules of institutions realising reading surveys (K_W07),
- understands problems and challenges related to reading promotion (K_W08),
- can develop and realise a simple reading survey of a selected group, working in a team (K_U02, K_U04, K_U08),
- understands the need of reading surveys for the publishers (K_K03, K_K04).
