Student after completing the course:
In terms of knowledge:
– explains without problems the basic concepts of culture, intercultural management, national cultures and organizational cultures;
- recognizes process phenomena in culture and is able to describe them in the form of trends (impact of culture on business);
- recognizes new phenomena in the field of cross-culture management and is able to demonstrate the factors that led to these changes in an global context;
In terms of skills:
– inquisitively analyzes ongoing changes (using examples) in the field of cross-culture management;
- can determine which of the noticed new processes may be local and which are global;
- is able to assess which of the observed trends are beneficial and which are not, from the point of view of the employee/employer/state, including Poland.
- is able to present his knowledge during a public speech.
In terms of attitudes:
- is an intelligent observer in the international business environment;
- is able to cooperate with other participants (regardless of gender, age and ethnicity) in achieving a common goal;
- shows initiative..
Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria based on completed tasks delivered orally and posted in written/graphic form on the dedicated Padlet platform:
4. group work (PPT presentation - oral presentation) (30%)
5. attendance at classes (30%).
6. one individual survey questionnaire on "Cultural aspects of the functioning of institutions - reality vs. employee expectations" with a description of the result (40%).
Additionally possible (+ 10%) for activity during classes
