The objective of this module is to provide students with basic principles of leadership. The course will help refine leadership theories. The issues discussed include:
- the role of a manager and leader in an organization:
• characteristics,
• competences,
• actions.
- the essence of leadership and leadership styles in an organization:
• trait and behavioral theories,
• models and situational theories,
• authentic leadership,
• rotational leadership, emergent leadership.
- building and leading teams in an organization:
• roles,
• needs,
• goals,
• motivating,
• effective communication.
During the classes, case studies will be analyzed, corresponding to the topic and profile of the students.
