- empirical methods in finance (quantitative and qualitative variables in finance; methods of analysis of the association/impact of qualitative data on financial phenomena);
- the rules for analysis of verified research results;
- robustness checks;
- case studies in finance;

- critical analysis of the literature with reference to hypotheses;
- critical analysis of reasoning on the financial phenomena with reference to research results

K_W01 Knows and understands in-depth research methodology and terminology in the discipline of Economics and Finance and in complementary disciplines (Management and Quality Sciences, Legal Sciences), in particular financial management and accounting.
K_W02 Knows and understands in-depth the principles, procedures and practices regarding financial management in organizations, accounting, management of financial institutions and the strategy of financial institutions.
K_W03 Knows and understands in-depth economic theories and models regarding the functioning of organizations and the entire economy.
K_W05 Knows and understands complex technological, social, political, legal, economic and ecological processes and phenomena and their impact on financial decisions in organizations, the functioning of the organization and the entire economy, including the principles of protection of industrial property and copyright.
K_U01 Is able to use the theory of the discipline of Economics and Finance and complementary sciences (Management and Quality Sciences, Legal Sciences) to recognize, diagnose and solve problems related to financial decisions in the organization and management of financial institutions, using the appropriate selection of sources and adapting existing or developing new methods .
K_U02 Is able to correctly interpret complex technological, social, political, legal, economic and ecological processes and phenomena and their impact on financial decisions in organizations, the functioning of the organization and the entire economy, using the appropriate selection of sources.
K_U03 Is able to independently and collectively prepare analyses, diagnoses and reports on complex and unusual problems related to financial management in organizations, accounting, management of financial institutions and strategies of financial institutions, and present them communicably, also in English - using IT and communication tools.

The final grade from the lecture depends on the effects of written exam – multiple choice test.
The grade from the laboratories covers the fulfillment of the following activities:
- homework, i.e.: projects, presentations, press news;
- active participation in classes;
- team work;
- written test.
