Applications of the editor in the organization:
1. text formatting (font, paragraph, bulleted, numbered list),
2. full support for formatted tables (loading graphics, calculations, charts)
3. the role of the text field in formatting editorial graphics
4. additional document processing functions (section, header, footer, even and odd pages)
5. objects in a text editor on the example of decorative graphics, creating an organizational chart and mathematical and statistical formulas, etc.
6. creating data sources and using them in mail merge
7. creating a table of contents of the document, an index of entries, etc.
Examples of spreadsheet applications in an organization:
1. addressing convention in a spreadsheet - relative, absolute and mixed references
2. formatting cells and fonts and using the formula bar
3. creating financial simulations
4. using built-in functions and nesting functions
5. working with data from multiple spreadsheets
6. creating charts with one and many data series
7. introduction to the use of financial functions in the spreadsheet
8. database functions in a spreadsheet - simple and multi-level data sorting, data filtering using autofilter and advanced filtering
Theoretical solutions are illustrated by examples relating to accounting, efficiency and cost accounting

Student after completing the course:
1. Knows and understands in-depth the principles, procedures and practices regarding the use of the basic MS Word and Excel packages (K_W02),
2. Knows and understands to an advanced level how to use the MS Office package in business practice related to finance and accounting (K_W05)
3. Is able to use the practice of using MS Office to solve current economic problems (K_U01)
4. Is able to independently and collectively prepare analyses, diagnoses and reports on financial management in organizations, accounting, management of financial institutions and strategies of financial institutions and present them communicatively, also in English - using IT and communication tools (K_U03)
5. Has the ability to self-educate and improve acquired qualifications (K_U06)
6. Is ready to assess and critically approach situations and phenomena related to financial management in organizations, accounting, management of financial institutions and strategists of financial institutions (K_K01)
Assessment criteria
The final form of passing the exam is a one-choice test prepared at the platform eNauka, (an active student account is required in the IT Methods: Exercises, examples from practice, interactive explanation of key concepts. The basic assessment criterion is the use of computer hardware and software (MS Office) to solve tasks.
The final form of assessment are two practical tests consisting in performing a set of tasks using the Microsoft Word text editor and a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
The final grade consists of: 30% grade for word processing, 70% grade for spreadsheet. The assessment will traditionally take place in the WZ UW laboratories
To pass the course, you must obtain at least 51% in each of the partial tests.
Rating scale: DST (51%-60%), DST Plus (61%-70%), DB (71%-80%), DB Plus (81%-90%), BDB (91%-100%)
