The course content consists of an introduction to the knowledge and understanding of the vital functions of vertebrates in connection with the basic anatomical features and environmental factors. The student will learn the structure and function of the basic organism systems: nervous, endocrine, muscular, skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, immune, excretory and reproductive. An emphasis will be placed on the integration of organism functions face to the environmental factors, especially stress, as well as on selected elements of behavior such as physical activity, nutrition and metabolism, as well as reproduction and parental care. |
