THE HABIT OF SELF-DISCIPLINE 2400-ZEWW759
The aim of the course is to be familiar with:
• the nature of self-discipline – persistence, consequence and passion
• four obstacles – including procrastination
• measure persistence
• principles of self-discipline and determination
• a process of self-discipline learning
• creating useful resolutions
• effects of an empathic gap
• handling difficult resolutions
• levels of difficulties to be overcome
• differences of developmental and task targets
• target exercises – foundation of persistence
• additional conditions of self-discipline learning
• monitoring of action – principles
• basic techniques and tracing the progress
• steps of resolution realisation
• overcoming obstacles and appearing difficulties
• ways of dealing with problematic targets
• moderating effects of stress and pressure
• courageousness towards failure and challenges
The rated total number of hours a student is required to spend in order to achieve the expected learning outcomes defined for the course: 30 + 25

Upon the course completion a student will:
• realise the nature of main difficulties concerning the power of will
• be familiar with and present the consequences of “hot” and “cold” decisions
• set current level of his persistence and determination
• set advantages that he wants to gain thanks to the persistence training
• apply the principles of self-discipline to his own plan
• apply simple resolutions in his actions
• create his own system of progress monitoring
• distinguish task and developmental targets
• use his energy and action to develop the persistence and passion
• create skills demanding exercising and perfection
• create direction of operation that are useful in overcoming postponement
• write a plan of strengthening his resistance to stress
• set ways of overcoming obstacles
• present a programme of accomplishing changes
• create ways of dealing with failure
• set actions connected with taking responsibility for himself
