Hydrochemistry 1300-OHCH4C
The classes are dedicated to:
- evaluation of the quality of hydrochemical data, their presentation, and the basic principles of data interpretation;
- measurements of main physicochemical parameters and determinations of major solutes in waters (preparation of instruments and practical measurements and some analyses);
- to learn the basics of chemical modelling of waters and to perform speciation modelling of different types of natural waters.

Learning outcomes
After completing the classes a student:
- prepares equipment for field and laboratory research of physicochemical characteristics of natural waters
- carries on the basic measurements of major physicochemical characteristic and markings in waters
-plans scope and schedule of field and laboratory research of physicochemical characteristics of waters
- evaluates the quality of hydrogeochemical data
- develops quantitative and graphically the hydrochemical data.
Assessment criteria
Passing a course requirements:
- correct execution of elaborations,
- knowledge about materials given,
- knowledge of referenced literatures and law regulations given by lecturer.
Three justified absences are allowed.
Correct execution of elaborations assessed on points (scale: 0-5 points for a single study; passing a study up from 1 point). Written pass test from the whole material assessed on points.
Subject credited after obtaining more than 50% of the sum of points from the elaborations and written test.
Correction of written test needed in the case of failure to obtain the required number of points in the first term.
