1. Basics of mass spectrometry,
2. Analyzers in mass spectrometry,
3. Methods of ionization of compounds in LC-MS,
4. Tandem mass spectrometry,
5. Modes of work of mass spectrometers (monitoring of a selected ion, monitoring of fragmentation ions, loss of a neutral molecule, monitoring of selected fragmentation reactions, etc.).
The lecture will be supplemented with two laboratory exercises:
1. Determination of polyphenolic compounds by LC/MS method,
2. Identification of natural dyes in antique fabrics.
