Physics of transport processes in biological systems 1100-3BO18
1. Basic notions: force, energy, temperature and heat, kinetic-molcecular theory, phases of matter, liquids, physicsl properties of water, surface tension, viscosity, Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquids, colloids.
2. Energetics of biological systems, basis of thermodynamics, thermodynamic potentials, reversibility and irreversibility of thermodynamic processes, statistical interpretation of thermodynamics, entropy, systems in thermodynamic equilibrium, multicomponent systems, chemical potentials, osmotic pressure, Donnan equlilibrium.
3. Speed of processes, conditions of processes, chemical reactions, diffusion and osmosis, heat transport, motion ot electrical charges, movement of liquids, hemodynamics, conduction of signals in neurons.
