Geometric modelling 1000-1M08MG
The lecture of geometric modelling is devoted to curves and surfaces in Bezier and B-spline representations (including NURBS), commonly used in computer graphics and in CAD software packages. The contents of the lectures includes mathematical properties of the curves and surfaces and their representations (algebraic and analytical properties of the parameterisations, elements of differential geometry) and algorithms of processing them (computation of points, visualisation, constructions of surfaces based on curves). The lectures are accompanied by classes, which partially will take place in the computer laboratory, where the attendants will have an opportunity to practically master the knowledge presented during the lectures.
